About Lidl GB

Since arriving in Great Britain in 1994, Lidl GB has experienced continuous growth and is now the UK’s fifth largest supermarket with over 35,000 employees, across more than 1,010 stores and 13 distribution centres spanning England, Scotland, and Wales.

The discounter takes pride in its value-led proposition, providing customers across Great Britain, from Dingwall in the highlands of Scotland to Penzance in Cornwall, with the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices.

Driven by a core commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, the retailer sources two-thirds of its products from British suppliers.

More to Value

What do we mean by More to Value?

Value is so much more than a price tag. Great value gives you more of the things you actually value. Like time away with the family, an exciting new addition to the weekly dinner plan or a surprise when you need it most. And you value your food. Real food. Fresh food. Quality that speaks for itself. So, we’ll always strive to give you great value. Local suppliers growing fantastic produce and award winners stocking your kitchen cupboards. Just great food at Lidl prices.

We also believe that everybody should be able to shop sustainably. It’s why we’re making green and ethical choices both accessible and affordable to all who shop with us. Our vision is to make Good Food accessible for everyone.

Our vision for Good Food is…

Supporting local causes

At Lidl, we’re proud of our Great British partnerships and work with a number of organisations and charities that reflect our values. Each of our stores are partnered with local community groups such as food banks and homeless shelters to redistribute our surplus food and customer donations. Our localised programme enables direct support within the communities we serve and aims to donate over 5 million meals every year.

Wherever Lidl operates, we aim to make a positive local impact – from job creation to supporting the regional economy.
